YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH A STORM TO GET TO A RAINBOW

25th June 2013

At 7:25pm last night God took our beautiful daughter and sister Dainere into heaven.  Heaven gained an extraordinary and special angel. She is no longer in pain or suffering and is now safe in God's loving hands.

Rest in peace Dainere Monique Anthoney, you are the most inspirational, amazing, selfless, courageous, generous and beautiful person we know, we love you more than words can say and will miss your gorgeous smile and warm hugs.

We thank you all for the support you have shown Dainere throughout her journey, she truly did touch so many people's hearts and lives, inspired them, changed them and raised so much awareness about brain tumours.

Whenever you see a brilliant Rainbow in the sky know that Dainere is watching upon you all, smiling and giving you hope.

We have just received a phone call letting us know of Dainere's passing and our hearts are aching. Dainere was an amazing young lady who certainly took her illness head on and fought to the very end. She inspired so many people throughout this journey and will leave footprints on many people's hearts. To this day I still remember the day you found out about Dainere and that long journey to take Nalani and Jarret to meet you at the hospital. I cannot imagine what you are all going through but know that out love and hugs are coming to you all the way from America. We wish we could be with you at this time

Dainere Anthoney, farewell darling girl. We met you while you were going through your storm. You brought so much joy to us as a family. Both Joey and Katie still love reading the book you gave them "Rainbow Peekaboo". Whenever I see a rainbow, I will think of you and also of the God who has brought you through this journey to now be with him. What a privilege it has been to meet you and your amazing family xx.

My beautiful sister Dainere,

I miss you so much. you were an inspiration to everyone, young and old. You were the most courageous, caring, strongest girl I have ever know.

Taken far too soon, far too young...God only takes the best.

You will always be remembered for your beautiful smile, that could light up the room, warming the hearts of people everywhere, your courage, bravery and selflessness.

You only had a short time on this earth, but in that time, you have done more than most people will do in their entire lives.

You are an inspiration and if I can become only half of the person you were, I would be happy.

You raised money and awareness (both much needed) for Children's Brain Tumour Research and myself and many others will continue to do so, in the hopes that one day, a cure can be found for this horrible disease.

I love you with all my heart, more than words. You will forever be in my heart and on my mind.

Lots of love, always, your big sister,
Lysette x x x x x x

How very sad. Dainere was a very inspirational young person and helped to raise awareness about brain tumours. Here is a link to a review I wrote of her first book: http://www.theibta.org/DainereAnthoneyBookReview.html

I am sure she will be organsing a T&F meet in a place where there is no longer any pain and suffering.

Prayers and best wishes

Today I looked up at the sky and saw a rainbow and as always, I thought of Dainere. Later that day, I heard the sad news and all I could do was cry. I looked up again and saw that rainbow and I realised that now Dainere was in a better place, still with that smile on her face. I will never forget the way Dainere helped me and supported me even when she was going through so much worse than me but that was the kind of beautiful angel that she was, always putting everyone else first. I will miss you Dainere and will always be thinking of you especially when I see that rainbow.
Lots of love

I was terribly saddened to hear this news today. I have been following Dainere's blog for a while. I still remember the day she was diagnosed, I wanted to know why this could happen to someone so young and to a family so lovely? However, through her bravery and courage, she has taught so many to live their lives. To love, to work hard, to never give up. To be polite, calm, thankful, and look on the bright side of the rainbow when all the odds are against you. What lessons to teach those around you. She truly is a hero, and one that many will not forget. May you rest peacefully little angel, you have touched so many. Love the Whitfield sisters. XXX

Dear Yvonne and Stephen, Nalani and Jarrett, Nan and Pop,

Such beautiful tributes bear witness to the inspiration Dainere has given so, so many people - it is very difficult to find the right words to add anything more. She will be greatly missed, especially by you all. You are inspirational, too, in your love, care and support of Dainere and one another.

This afternoon Carol replayed her 2010 interview with Yvonne and Dainere (on ABC 1233) to remind us all of Dainere's desire to educate about and fundraise for brain cancer research. Dainere certainly realised this goal with great determination and perseverance. Perhaps at some later stage another volume could be published of the rest of her wonderful, splendiferous blogs....

Sending love and prayers as always, and remembering with much admiration, gratitude and love one beautiful, wonderful young lady and her very special family,

Dear Yvonne, Stephen, Nalani and Jarrett,
With great sadness, Heather has just brought me her Ipad where she has just read the sad news that Dainere has earned her angel wings. Dainere was indeed a wonderful inspiration to so many. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. I think the following quote could have been written about Dainere.

Candles in the wind

"Children with cancer are like candles in the wind who accept the possibility that they are in danger of being extinguished by a gust of wind from nowhere, and yet, as they flicker and dance to remain alive, their brilliance challenges the darkness and dazzles those of us who watch their light."

Dear Yvonne, Stephen, Nalani and Jarrett

We have been following Dainere's blog and we were very upset and sorry to hear about Dainere's passing. God only takes the best and Dainere was truly an inspiration to everyone. Take comfort in the fact that what Dainere achieved in her short life and the lives she touched, most people do not achieve in a lifetime. She was an amazing person from an amazing and compassionate family.

Dainere is an angel and truly remarkable. We were lucky to have known her.

Our deepest sympathy and may god be with you always.

Dear Yvonne, Stephen, Nalani and Jarret,
I have alot of memories with Dainere. When i was in year 2 and she was in year 5, Dainere was my school buddy and our classes would always get together and play activities. I rememeber sitting down and playing with her beautiful, long, curly hair and colouring in a fairy with her. I remeber wearing my hair in pink tales one day and she could not stop playing with my hair! I loved it. Dainere was such a beautiful girl and now she is in gods hands, out of pain. I wish you all the best and may God be with you.

I have been in contact with yor family through email. We were discussing my son Luke. We are from Melbourne and Yvonne was good enough to take the time to reach out to us and try to help in anyway she could, for which we are extremely grateful. Unfortunately my gorgeous Luke relapsed in 2011 and passed away from a brain hemorage in January 2012. I am sorry for your loss, Daniere was an inspiration to our family. We are still grieving and will always, for Luke was 27 when he passed (such a waste) a beautiful human being. I wish you peace of mind.

Dainere was the most inspiring person I have ever had the honour to meet. I have an absolutely devastated heart right know but I find solace in the fact that she is in heaven and pain free. She will be remebered every day and everytime I see a rainbow it is a tribute to her amazing journey and her strength to keep fighting. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. If it's any comfort, read the poem 'The Dash' (I cannot put it here because of copyright regulations) and know that she has made the biggest print on the earth and will always be in the hearts of those who knew her. Dainere changed my life and the lives of many.

Goodbye Dainere, your spirit will always be an inspiration to us all. God loves you and He gave you a mission on earth which you have fulfilled in the biggest way you possibly can.

Peace and love to you all, now and forever. God bless and be with you in your hearts and minds. You are in our prayers.
